Creating a piece of  jewellery from the raw materials to the finished product has a touch of magic to it. Presented with metals of platinum, gold, silver, and precious and semi precious gems such as diamonds, sapphires, spinel, moissanite, and morganite, Cheree of Cheree Edwards Fine Jewellery transforms your visions into reality to create the perfect piece for you.

Repurposing broken and outdated jewellery is another of her skills, ensuring the sentimental value attached to the piece lives on in new beautiful jewellery reflecting your unique tastes and honouring lives past and present. A range of ready to wear jewellery is available or she is equally excited by creating a custom made piece for you to treasure.

Jewellery is such a personal item – make sure that each piece you have reflects your personal style and holds a special place in your heart.

Let’s get to know Cheree a little more:

Weddings are the best to work on because….

Weddings are enjoyable to work on because they are joyous celebrations of love and happiness. The creativity involved in designing and creating an engagement ring and wedding band that complement and fit together is also a gratifying challenge.

What is something people would be surprised to know about your job or something that challenges you about your job?

Photographing jewellery can be quite challenging and frustrating at times. It’s difficult to capture the true colour and sparkle of gemstones and diamonds in a still image. Additionally, fingerprints and dust are always a problem, as polished surfaces tend to highlight these imperfections in photographs.

What is it about the creative process that you most enjoy?

It often feels like play: when the ideas flow and the problems are stimulating but not impossible, it becomes engaging and relaxing.

What are you hilariously bad at?

Singing.

When you were small what did you dream of being and where have those dreams taken you?

I wanted to drive. I would play with cars, build mini roads, and push the toy cars along the dirt tracks for hours. I would sit in the car’s back seat and pretend I was driving, changing imaginary gears and using an imaginary steering wheel. I loved computer games that involved driving. I wanted to drive a truck or a bus, as the idea of being paid to drive seemed fun. While I have driven many kilometres, it’s never been a job.
