It’s 2023, a brand new year is here and you’re ready to go wedding dress shopping. Well, what better way to kick off our posts for the new year than showing off the brand-new collection from Aussie designers Grace Loves Lace?
Pack your bags by the way, because this campaign shoot takes place in beautiful Lake Como and well, it’s as beautiful as it sounds and the perfect backdrop to these beauties.
The 2022/2023 collection is all about effortless style. It draws on that signature fitted, lacy Grace Loves Lace style and it builds on it – new fabrics, new laces (eco-lace no less, in keeping with the brand’s sustainable mission) all coming together to create a vision for the new year. “There’s a lot of skill that goes into making a dress look effortless, each gown in this collection is an ode to craft and creativity” explains founder and creative director of the brand Megan Ziems. “We have challenged ourselves and our in-house artisans to create pieces that will move you. This level of detail, softened by flowing fabrics, texture and effortless silhouettes strikes a unique balance. These gowns are true works of art.”
And, that sense of effortlessness, is a signature of Grace Loves lace, and it’s evident in this collection more than ever. From the chic fitted lace beauty of “La Paz” to the off-shoulder open back stunner of “Anu”, even the diamanté back detail of “Zsa Zsa”. The gowns may be effortless, but they’re considered, and thought through says Megan.
Two will round out the collection – the classic ethereal beauty of “Pierlot” with its floral appliqué, and the more modern “Solstice” which is edged in applied feather embroidery and is utterly stunning. Each fabric, each lace, each selected to move easily with its wearer, but to provide maximum style.
And that’s part of what brings Grace Loves Lace so much love for so many. Comfort and style, beauty and ease. It is a juxaposition never unwelcome at a wedding!
The gowns are both ready to wear and made to order in sizes XS to 2XL and are available via the Grace Loves Lace website, or their stockists around the world.
