It was while trying to escape that Alan and Tram’s paths first crossed. “We met through an escape room event that our mutual friend organised” Alan remembers. “Solving the puzzles together was our great ice breaker and we simply hit it off from there and I have been madly in love with Tram ever since.”
Today with Jacob Gordon Photography behind the camera, we get to share their story, the pair, who dreamt of a heartfelt, relaxed session, chose Perth State Building and the country views of Bells State Park for their photographs.
Alan popped the question in New Zealand, remembering “We got engaged on top of Queenstown Hill in New Zealand. After a 40 minute hike to the top of the hill, I pretended to collapse from exhaustion onto one knee and proposed to my beautiful wife.”
On what he loves about their bond, Alan tells “When we’re together, all my problems disappear.”
Says Alan of working with photographer Jacob “Jacob Gordon is a super talented photographer that knows how to make two of the most camera-shy people feel comfortable and feel less awkward when in front of the camera. We chose to work with Jacob because he understood what we wanted for our special day and was very easy to get along with which made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable.”
They have the best time together, enjoy the great outdoors, though one of their first outdoor dates, didn’t quite go to plan, remembers Alan “Tram loves to hike and asked if I would like to join her for a “short” hike. So thinking it was just a short walk through a park, I decided to wear a polo shirt, jeans and casual shoes thinking we would probably just go for a walk and eat afterwards. It turned out to be a 12km bush trail on a 35-degree day and because it was at an early stage of our relationship I confidently told her “no worries should be a walk in a park for me” but only 200m into the hike I slipped and rolled my ankle. That was the quickest date we had together.”
