If there is one thing we know about a colour palette of black and white, it’s that it can be whatever you want it to be. Bold and modern, lush and luxe, and today’s dream team, combined the tones in an entirely new way, aptly for an editorial they’ve entitled “The Old New”.
Bringing together plenty of textures in the old, industrial-style venue of The Warehouse photographer Bea from The New Old – Wedding Stories that juxtaposed old and new. Says Bea “Our idea was to create an inspiration for timeless set up that will meet expectations of modern couples. Featuring textural elements of a wedding dress and modern feels of a wedding suit.”
The venue, chosen for its exposed brick walls and arch windows, set the scene for a candlelit tablescape with white linens and white crockery styled by Boho Luxe & Co, with gold candlesticks and black glassware. Eboni and Ivory created stationery and signage pieces that embodied all the modern vibes; as the candles lit, the scene set with cosy warmth for a night of celebration. “I wanted the shoot to exude a modern, textural and ethereal feel,” explains Bea “bringing the feeling of intimacy and romance with the warmth of the candlelight.”
The flowers in this look are stunning, all in white, floral designer Black and Bloom Floral Studio using orchids, with the hand opened roses and paperwhites to let the texture do all the talking. The wedding bouquet, held by model Caitlynn (who donned a gown from Jacara Bridal and a white suit from Asos) carrying a stunningly romantic white rose bouquet of two dozen moonstone roses bound with a white silk ribbon. Caitlyn’s look, while she dined as a newlywed with Teejay, finished by hair and makeup artist Elina Filipp.
