As we spend our month musing over all things monochrome, we want to bring you ideas and inspiration for every kind of wedding style.
Today, we’re all about the modern, the industrial, thanks to the loveliest twin stylists we’ve ever known – DUO Events Creative Studio. The team (who also styled the flowers for this shoot) set up shop at the country wedding venue of Bailey Brewing Co in the Swan Valley.
Their inspiration? The modern industrial vibes of the polished concrete floors and the monochrome marquee walls. The space just the ticket for a black and white look. “We decided that designing with a simple black & white colour palette would complement the existing industrial vibe and showcase the space as the hero.” The look captured entirely by Ridhwaan Moolla.
The tables, of rectangles and traditional rounds, surrounded a dancefloor from Black Label Events (who also created the walls you see). Furniture pieces from Heart Strings Hire + Style and Hire Society encouraging guests to both take a seat for the outdoor ceremony, lounge with a cool drink in the outdoor lounge area, and celebrate in the marquee reception. The tables, set with beautiful linen napkins from The Tailored Table in crisp white, complemented the black flatware and glassware that really cemented that black and white colour palette.
Lighting by Micktric Events adding a special touch of sparkle with bold, modern lighting pieces (especially in the lush hanging installations that again, married the tone on tone look). Nestle and Porter used bold fonts and graphic elements on signage and stationery pieces keeping the styling modern and crisp.
The Cake & I who is always one to watch, added the finishing touch – a terrazzo tile-inspired two-tiered wedding cake. The beauty on a black, glossy cake stand, just begging us to ask for a slice.
We proudly admit we’re colour lovers through and through, but if anything was going to make us jump to the monochrome side, this editorial would be it!
