It’s a brand new week and time to introduce you to yet another Australian designer making waves. Today, we introduce you to Paloma James Bridal and their brand new, debut collection, entitled “With the tide”.
A band of many – Paloma James is named after the designer’s own family; Paloma (symbolising all things peaceful and light) James (standing for strength, boldness and a unique spirit) ) and was born out of the chaos of 2020. “A desire, a dream to be fluid, to be flexible, to move freely regardless of the changes and challenges in our way. It was the essence of trusting in love, in trusting in oneself, that saw the birth of the Paloma James brand and the title of this collection.”
Taking inspiration from the fabrics of which the designs are made. “Bloom” is going to be the first one you’ll want to try on. It has a classic silhouette, but the beauty of this one is all the detail. Sparkly, fabric and sweet, considered floral embellishments make “Bloom” stand out. Namesake gown “Paloma” features a scoop sweetheart neckline, made of heavy crepe, the fishing touch is a bodice dotted with sweet pearls. “Bay” also needs to be on your must look at the list, a feminine beauty made of delicate lace with a stretch crepe underlay.
If all that came out of 2020 was innovation and delight like brand new Australian wedding designers than we have to say, maybe it wasn’t all bad?
