Weddings are the best to work on because….
It is so special, and an absolute honour, playing a role in the most important day of a couple’s life to date!

What is something people would be surprised to know about your job or something that challenges you about your job?
It always surprises me that people assume floristry is a relaxing job! Floristry, particularly events floristry, is, in fact, a lot of hard work! There is a lot of heavy lifting, climbing up and down ladders, slimy stems, smelly buckets, tight bump ins and midnight bump-outs.

What is it about the creative process that you most enjoy?
I enjoy working with my clients to bring their dreams to life. Being able to witness the moment they see the floral styling of their wedding or event for the first time is exhilarating!

What are you hilariously bad at?
My team always have a giggle at me when it comes to anything tech!

When you were small what did you dream of being and where have those dreams taken you?
Flowers are in my blood. I grew up working alongside my mother who was also a florist, went on to become a florist myself, and my daughter is a third-generation florist. I have always been ambitious and I am proud to have achieved much in my career including owning multiple flower stores, a flower school and working with many high profile clients. I can even count Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as a client when I was appointed as her official florist during an Australian visit!
