Happy Monday Dotties! It is the strangest of weeks beginning here, with some of us battening down the hatches once more, while others are moving ahead, almost back to normalcy.
It’s hard not to feel impatient at times when opening up our borders and getting the ‘show on the road’ seems to be taking forever. But however long it takes, love will always triumph – and we’ll get there in the end. Explore our Polka Dot Directory to choose vendors whose style you connect with. We have Flowers, we have Bridal Gown Services, we have Entertainment and Venues – we even have Wedding Planners and Catering,
Check out the Polka Dot Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

When you see a celebrant described as having “creative wit and spark”, “funny and kind”, “super calm and easy-going”, “personable, patient and can certainly write a great story’ you just know that this is going to be the celebrant for you. Mrs Jones is a celebrant who can engage your guests in the ceremony, yet at the same time be respectful to you as the couple, honouring your stories and the momentous occasion this is. Her unique personality and style is just the ticket for a wedding ceremony that is relaxed and special to start your married life together.
We asked Nicola of Mrs Jones five questions in five minutes:
What is the most important piece of advice you can give to engaged couples?
Just do you. Don’t get caught up in trying to please other people – or in trying to have the ‘perfect’ Instagramable wedding. Don’t stress about what your vows sound like or how long they are, just make them meaningful.
Tell us about a hidden talent you have?
I’m an excellent vegan baker. I set myself a challenge to outdo myself every year for my daughter’s birthday – last year I spent a whole day modelling her out of fondant icing for a ninja-themed cake!
As a vendor, what excites you about the wedding day?
I just feel so privileged to be a part of such a memorable part of a couple’s life. It’s so awesome seeing the faces of the people who love them, and how emotional they get during the ceremony.
What are you known for?
I’ve been told that I’m able to help couples stress less. I’m naturally a pretty laid back person and take things in my stride, so the unexpected doesn’t phase me too much. That, and the tattoos, I guess!
If you could choose a song to play for the rest of your life what would it be?
Don’t Stop Believing by Journey. I honestly couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve taken that midnight train goin’ anywhere.
