There isn’t a single excuse for you to have the Monday blues when we’re able to fill your eyes with beauty like that of the brand new Bo & Luca “Minimal, Lace and Beaded” Collection.

Designed under Bo & Luca’s diffusion label, Temple “Minimal, Lace and Beaded” is the biggest collection yet, designed in demand from brides to be for gowns that are feminine, simple, structured and minimalist in styling.

It is a challenge, for a designer to keep creating while staying true to the brand’s true vision, not swayed by trends and “what’s hot” lists, but this design team, lead by Shannon Pittman considers that mission at its core, Shannon sharing  “Bo & Luca Gowns have always been, and always will be, made from 100% silk and be 100% hand-headed which doesn’t allow for much room on their accompanying price tags – couture comes at a price! However, creating a diffusion brand in TEMPLE meant more room for experimentation regarding fabrications and production methods used to reduce costs without necessarily reducing quality. In essence, we’re creating affordable luxury.”

And the team has delivered, the collection – and it’s all completely affordable! There are three key fabrications, keeping in line with the collection’s name and each gown is just as beautiful, just as carefully thought out as the next.

The “Beaded” line is filled with sparkling bodices, crystal-adorned sleeves, and twinkling necklines. Our pick? The “Rita” blouse, which available in short or long sleeve has beautiful beaded celestial starbursts, hand-beaded in Champagne, Silver and Chartreuse-hued beads. Beautiful with one of the brand’s billowing skirts.

Then there’s “Minimalist” aspect of this collection just as you’d expect. No adornments, no appliqués, just simple silhouettes in beautifully chosen clean fabrics. Separates sitting right alongside full-length gowns. “Mae” our favourite, is made of crepe silk and dyed with white tea. Her long sleeves topped with just a hint of beading, to complement the deep V neckline.

Finally, the “lace” line. Lace always a favourite of wedding gown designers, comes into its own with this collection. Each piece using delicate, femininely beaded floral laces, that transform the silhouettes into utter dreams. “Darya” our top pick from these beauties. Her midi length and high necklace, combined with the soft floral lace giving a decidedly retro vibe.
