Happy Monday Dotties! Who can believe it is almost the end of April?
It is hard at this time to feel anything but confusion and fear, but we are finding that the best antidote for this is connecting with our team virtually, to feel their support and concern. Tap into your own resources over the airwaves to stay connected and reassured. Take time also to explore our Polka Dot Directory which is filled with vendors who are standing by for forward bookings in 2021and beyond. We have Celebrants, we have Bridal Gowns, we have Menswear and Stationery & Paper Goods – we even have Transport and Destination Wedding Venues – yes – these in Australia!
Check out the Polka Dot Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

Creating ‘pure floral perfection’ is the mantra of Adrienne of Gertrude Jekyll Flower Studio – and that surely is what we see in her beautiful work. Each floral creation is a work of art with carefully chosen elements to make them a standout and take your breath away. There is nothing like the finishing touches of flowers, seedpods, and greenery to pull all the elements of your wedding together and all this adds to the pleasure and atmosphere for you and your wedding guests alike.
We asked Adrienne of Gertrude Jekyll Flower Studio five questions in five minutes:
What is the most important piece of advice you can give to engaged couples?
Start with a clear colour palette. The most important first step to planning a visually impressive wedding is to start with a clear colour palette.
Tell us about a hidden talent you have?
I pride myself on being able to read couples really well. So often couples come to me without a clear vision of what their wedding will look like. After a one on one and getting a feel of the couple’s personality and likes, I am able to design a floral theme true to who they are.
As a vendor, what excites you about the wedding day?
The delivery of the bridal flowers the morning of the wedding is hands down my favourite thing about being a wedding florist. I love to see the excitement of the bridal party getting ready for the ceremony and the joy on the bride’s face when she sees her bridal bouquet for the first time.
What are you known for?
My bouquets and arrangements are known for their natural and organic flow. I am best known for letting the flowers shine through in all their natural glory.
If you could choose a song to play for the rest of your life what would it be?
Let’s Dance – David Bowie.
