Shuen & KC
Home is always a beautiful place to be, but right now, it’s the only place to be. So it seemed apt, to share this utterly romantic at-home engagement session today, captured by Sabrina Edel Photography. Our lovers, Shuen and KC bare feet, in their comfiest clothes, lounging around the house and choosing an engagement session that captured them exactly as they are in this moment in time. To me, there could be no better place to celebrate the beginning of the next phase of your life together.
It was a slow burn for these two, who had been friends for five solid years before they started to develop feelings for one another, Shuen sharing “Well, we were friends for five years and we would run to each other after a breakup. Finally, two years ago we suddenly had romantic feelings toward each other.”
The pair chose a session at home, to solidify the memories they made there, explaining “We are planning to live in Malaysia for a little bit, so we chose to take the photos that remind us of our memories in Perth. The style was very much relevant to our daily lives.”
On what they love about one another, the bride remarks “We are so similar yet our differences complement each other perfectly. We love each other’s imperfections.”
The proposal? It an utterly unusual location! Shuen remembers “KC proposed In Japan in an ice cave, it was an awkward proposal because the person KC asked to capture a video made it too obvious, so he had to speed up his proposal before it became more awkward. But it was the perfect spot, perfect time with the perfect person.”
This is lovely.
