The Colour Issue is all about exploring ways to use bright and beautiful tones on your wedding day. because is there anything more celebratory than bright vivid blues? Sparkling yellows? Vibrant pinks? All of the above? It’s this exact reason we fell head over heels for today’s romantic rainbow wedding inspiration shoot. Because colour deserves to be celebrated!
At the dreamy country venue of The Woods Farm, which is a statement in and of itself. Our dream team, lead by stylist Marie of Lil Elements created a wedding that was filled to the brim with bold and bright colours. “I wanted to play with colour burst for a change, to have them stand out from the bushland,” tells Marie.
With Clarzzique Photography capturing all the colour (in stills and motion, scroll down for their beautiful video) and Model Anja Karanovic dressed in beautiful romantic gowns designed by Tanya Anic, (with her hair and makeup styled by Cindy Chan) the team was set to make magic happen.
An amazing floral backdrop, styled by Sweet Pea and Honey Bee graced the ceremony in hues of deep royal purple, tonal pinks and zesty orange, the reception filled with floral installations of blues purples and oranges, contrasted by simple arrangements of single stems of colourful blooms grouped down long wooden tables. Sparkling chandeliers and mirrors keeping the look beautifully elegant.
Finishing touches of handpainted and hand calligraphed stationery in bold inky colours by Teresa Ling Calligraphy and velvet ring boxes and floaty ribbons from Artiste Saku completed the look.
It’s a vision for couples who aren’t afraid to go a little wild with their colour choices, tells Marie. “I’ve started to notice that weddings are getting more bold in their colour themes. I usually use light pastel colours for shoots and we have been seeing so many light ethereal shoots that I wanted to show brides that you can still have an elegant wedding with bright colours.”
And in a month where we’re celebrating all the shades of the rainbow, we’ll certainly cheer to that!
