With their wealth of experience, they can also help you with the small details and niggling questions like tips to make your wedding ceremony one to remember, how to find equality-friendly wedding vendors and even elopement tips. Add to that their friendly natures and their calming presence, they really are your experts to call on for “modern, simple and meaningful, seamless happy weddings”.

We asked Cara from Brisbane City Celebrants five questions in five minutes:

What is the most important piece of advice you can give to engaged couples?

Think about what you loved most at weddings you’ve attended and any little gestures that could have made your experience better. Many guests find the wait time between the ceremony and reception can be the least fun part of the day (mainly because you’re not there, and they’re there to celebrate YOU after all!) so if you are opting for a traditional 3 pm ceremony time, then heading off for photos between your ceremony and reception, consider thoughtful ways to keep your guests entertained, fed and watered, e.g. lawn games, cocktail bar service, canapes, live music etc.
Alternatively consider having a slightly later ceremony start time, and instead have your location photos taken together before your ceremony starts, or you could opt for a mid-morning ceremony followed by a lunchtime reception, so after your ceremony you can immediately join your guests and celebrate with them, then have your sunset photos after the lunchtime reception concludes (before the after-party starts!)

An innate ability to put even the most nervous person, instantly at ease.

As a vendor, what excites you about the wedding day?

All the LOVE! From the adoring love-filled eyes of the couple when they see each other for the first time on the day, to the family and friends, shedding tears as the couple read their vows.
