Josephine & Dave

It was always going to be an outdoor engagement session for Josephine and Dave. “We both love the outdoors and I grew up in the hills. I spent a lot of my summers in Whistle Pipe Gulley so this place is special to me.” The beautiful Whistle Pipe Gulley in Kalamunda setting the scene for their story to unfold.

There is a moodiness to Josephine and Dave’s engagement photos, captured by Emanuel of Carving a Giant, not least because of the misty rain hitting the mountains, in that peaceful, beautiful way it does when there is nothing around but nature. Could there be a more beautiful place?

And while nature may be a shared love for these two, it was, Dave’s eyebrows that led these two together! Josephine sharing “Dave and I met through friends at university. We had known each other for years before we started dating. I remember the first time I ever saw Dave was on Facebook though and I remember thinking – who is that handsome man with the eyebrows!”

It was while celebrating another wedding, that Dave popped the question! “We were in India for a friend’s wedding and Dave popped the question on Elephanta Island off the coast of Mumbai.”

On what she loves about her future husband, Josephine shares “Dave is one of the most intelligent people I know and I love his passion for nature, the environment and outdoors.”
