I am not sure many dresses made jaws drop this year as much as the gowns in “La Bella Donna” collection from Melbourne designers Chosen By One Day. Well today? We have the much-awaited followup, meet “Desert Rose”.

The team has “come home” for this new collection because their inspiration is none of than Australia’s own stunning desert landscapes (how apt for The Australia Issue!). The gowns beautiful in their minimal, chic design.

There’s billowing crushed satins, bonded georgettes and of course, everyone’s favourite, their signature embellished gown. But if you want even more glitter and glam “Desert Rose” sees the unveiling of Chosen’s first metallic silver gown, a nod to their inspiration of desert blooms.

And of course, with a collection as beautiful as this, one needs an equally stunning backdrop, so the Chosen team headed to the dunes of Port Stephens with a dream team of photographer  Emily Abay, hair and makeup artist  Ania Milczarczyk, models  Geneve Benatar and Libby Lindsey all helping the collection come to life as the sunset over the  dunes.
