You’ve planned a destination wedding somewhere fabulous and your closest family and friends are all travelling to be there with you. When planning a destination wedding, it can be a great idea to provide your guests with information and recommendations about the location you have chosen, including accommodation options and the local area’s must Dos, Eats and Sees.
And as a gesture of gratitude to your guests for their efforts to be there (as well as maximising the destination festivities!) couples will often also choose to arrange a pre wedding day get-together or a post wedding day “recovery” event.
Well, do we have an idea for you. Instead of your average “welcome drinks,” Justine and Brenton, a gorgeous Melbourne couple, raised the bar and invited their guests out on a stunning 74′ catamaran for all to soak up the best of what this beautiful part of the world has to offer. It was an unforgettable day of sun, water, breathtaking nature and laid back fun.
The almost-newlyweds and their guests were treated to getting up close and personal with members of the world’s largest pod of Humpback whales (estimated to be up to 40,000) whom travel up from Antarctica each year to give birth to their young in the waters around Broome between July and September.
Picture this: Broome’s infamous sunset teasing the horizon as you sip a cold drink from the fully licensed onboard bar while watching a truly majestic creature with the people you love most around you. And this is just the day before the best day of your life. Of course this would also be the perfect activity to kick off a romantic honeymoon in breathtaking Broome!
Justine and Brenton arranged the whale watching tour through the lovely and highly experienced team at Karma IV who also run various other Broome cruises and fishing charters. The Karma IV whale watching experience cruise is a 4 hour tour, departing at lunchtime, with a capacity to take 64 guests.
Here is Justine and Brenton’s stunning wedding the following day at Gantheaume Point, Broome.
Ms Zebra Says: What an incredible experience – and what a great way to spend time with your nearest and dearest!
