Samantha & Simon
One should probably not proclaim their love for a season as much as I do Autumn, but when you see engagement photos like Samantha and Simon’s, it does kind of make you wonder how any other season could ever compare. Photographers Folkstone & Co Photography took them for a wander through the tree lined streets of Melbourne.
Tells the groom “We were both working in Canberra at the time, and would walk by each other’s place of work almost every day. We exchanged stories over coffee a few times, and our friendship was where we started.”
On what she loves about Simon, Samantha gave us this response. “Simon is a kind and compassionate soul, and most of all, I love his sense of openness to the world around him. It encourages me to be my most authentic self, and it inspires us both to navigate our journeys with consideration and engagement.”
And it’s that initial friendship that brought them together, that is what Simon loves most about Samantha, explaining “I love her passion, her bright mind and her beautiful eyes. I also love our conversations and our friendship.”
A once in a lifetime trip to Nepal led Simon to propose. “We were trekking in the Annapurna region of Nepal – it was a trip we had been planning for some time, as I was taking Sam to the country where I grew up, and to see all the adventurous places of my childhood” tells Simon, Samantha adding “After many days walking the sanctuary, we were at 4,130m in the majestic Himalayan amphitheatre of Annapurna Base Camp when Simon proposed. It was the most blissful day.”
