Jacinta & Shaun
Let it be said, that rain never ruins a photo session, in fact, the engagement session of Jacinta and Shaun, captured by Emily Howlett Photography proves the complete opposite. Because cosy layers, umbrella and misty rain made for absolutely stunning photos with plenty of fun mixed in. The most beautiful way to capture a couple who adore laughing together.
The pair, who met at a nightclub “kind of told him to get off his phone, maybe not so politely!” wanted photographs to capture the engagement that was relaxed and captured them just as they are. And I’m pretty sure they nailed it, rain included.
For Jacinta and Shaun, these photos were not about the appearance, but all about the feeling. Jacinta explaining “We just wanted to have fun with each other and be able to look at the photos and not just remember our photographer (Emily Howlett) giving us direction but look at them and think ‘hey this is when you did this’ or ‘you made me feel…’
We are better when we are together and when we focus on each other. The photos are memories of who we are not just the time they were taken.”
On what they love about one another, Jacinta notes “I love that he is always ready to support me 100% with anything and how he cares for others first. He loves that I can always make him laugh, even if it’s laughing at me!”
Shaun popped the question during an annual trip the pair take to a strawberry farm, the bride to be remembering “Every year we go to the same strawberry picking farm and he proposed while we were there last year. He said he carried the ring on him all weekend (our anniversary weekend) and was waiting for the right time. He didn’t do it at our anniversary dinner because I was grumpy as I didn’t like the food!”
It makes complete sense that these two had plenty of fun in the rain during their engagement photos because having fun is what they love about most about one another, Jacinta sharing “I think our whole relationship is based on fun and being silly.
I usually just like to play pranks on him whenever I can. Like turning on his heated car seat in summer without him noticing or switching our similar glasses just to hear his reaction when he puts on my stronger ones by accident!”
