Lisa & Marc

I really think there are few places as beautiful in the world for mountain top engagement photographs like Tasmania, and I am fairly certain today’s loved up couple Lisa and Marc and their photographer (and best man!)  Jon Gazzignato agree. The three took to the stunning mountain ranges in South West Tasmania to capture their recent engagement.

It’s only appropriate that these two chose the bush for their photos, it was after all, on a camping trip that Marc popped the question, Lisa telling the story “After a long weekend family camping adventure at Tasmania’s beautiful Bay of Fires, a sunrise coffee on the beach with no one else around seemed like the perfect moment for Marc to finally pop the question. We celebrated by taking the ring for a few laps at Derby Mountain Bike Park!”

I am pretty certain it was always meant to be for these two, the pair met back in primary school tells Lisa. “We have known each other since we first started school as 5 year olds. After 11 years, at the end of Grade 10, we decided that our schoolyard friendship might be something more, and 12 amazing years after that, we decided it was time for a ring on the finger and a party to celebrate love!”

Beers and views – nothing could be more appropriate for these two, who explain “Jon is one of our longtime friends (and also Marc’s best man) and has been there since day one of our relationship, so the shoot was very casual – we hiked up a mountain, explored some of the beautiful rock, stared at the amazing views, shared a beer over sunset, and Jon just so happened to be there snapping away with his camera! We all love this part of Tassie, particularly Lisa who works in Outdoor Education and spent most of the walk pointing out the surrounding peaks and past/future hiking missions. Everyone we have shown the photos to has said how well he captured our friendship and spirit, as well as the beauty of South West Tassie, which is exactly what we hoped for.”
