Zoe and Michael
I love nothing more than a lazy stroll on a Sunday and for Zoe and Michael it was this, combined with the industrial setting of Fernleigh Track in Newcastle, that set the scene for their engagement photographs. With Lauren Anne Photography behind the camera, the setting reflected their love of hiking, adventure, travel and, of course, each other as they set about making a little weekend magic.
It wasn’t always easy and breezy though. The pair met after a rather unfortunate incident as Zoe fills us in: “Michael had a concussed friend who I was looking after following a rugby match. Michael came to check in on him and the rest is history.”
In the most romantic of fashions, Michael popped the question in Venice. Zoe tells the story, “Michael had taken me out to a lovely authentic Italian dinner and we had shared a few glasses of Prosecco. Unfortunately, I had eaten too much and complained the whole way home. I missed every prompt from Michael to get in a gondola and ended up getting quite annoyed at his persistence because I just wanted to lie down! In the end, Michael proposed on the side of a quiet canal.”
On what she loves about her future husband, the bride shares, “I love how Michael is a loyal friend and family oriented.”
Michael tells, “I love that Zoe pushes me to be adventurous and open my mind.”
