Super easy and quick to make, this scrumptious popcorn treat is sweet on a dessert table wrapped in paper bonbons or served in individual cups. A quick warning, this popcorn is sticky – and addictive! Gather your best pals around to celebrate together for the perfect night in!

What You Will need:

  • 1 tin pre-made caramel
  • Heavy based saucepan
  • Mixing spoon
  • 1 bag of popcorn (pre-made or kernels to pop yourself)
  • Greaseproof paper
  • Brown paper and ribbon for bon bon wrapping

Step 1. If you’ve decided to pop your own popcorn from kernels, follow the instructions on the packet. Use your heavy based saucepan. If using pre-made popcorn (use non flavoured or slightly salted), simply pop the caramel into the pan.

Step 2. On a low heat, slowly warm the caramel, until it softens. If popping kernels, slowly warm the caramel in a separate pan.

Step 3. Pour pre-made popcorn into the saucepan and mix until combined. If you’ve popped kernels, keep them in the warm pan, and pour warmed caramel over the top, mixing to combine.

Step 4. Pour the caramel covered popcorn onto a sheet of greaseproof paper to cool. This popcorn won’t set hard, but will remain gloriously sticky and gooey!

Once the caramel popcorn has cooled, serve in a big bowl with warm napkins for your friends, roll into brown paper bon bon’s for a sweet touch, or pop into individual cups with spoons for a dessert table. This yummy treat takes mere minutes to put together, and is the perfect way to celebrate popping the question!
