Alex & Simon
When I first saw the photos of today’s Queensland country engagement, I was struck by the utterly relaxed vibes. There were no fancy outfits. No props. Instead, there are bare feet, there are enormous grins, there are waterfalls and most of all, there is a simply beautiful love story.
With Kate of Quince & Mulberry Studios behind the camera, Alex and Simon chose a space where they feel most at home, noting, “We feel most comfortable when in nature and outdoors so when Kate asked what kind of setting we liked it was an easy decision.” And so, after a Bali proposal (and a Bali “yes!”) with a backdrop of waterfalls and rolling mountains of green, their story unfolded.
“We have so much fun together and share the same values and outlook on life,” tells Alex.
All of this romance? It almost didn’t happen! The groom-to-be almost missed the first date. Alex tells the story: “We met through an online dating website and had our first date at a bar in the valley. Simon was 15 minutes late so I initially thought I’d been stood up! Little did I know that Simon is notoriously late to everything…he eventually turned up to our date riding a motorbike which explains why he wasn’t answering my calls.”
Absolutely gorgeous! Great shots!
