A year is a long time in business, and 20 years? It’s a milestone that is worth confetti, champagne and a heck of a lot of celebration! Celebrating is exactly what we’re doing today for Australian designer Lisa Gowing and her 20th-anniversary “Heirloom” collection!
Captured by Nick Scoot Photography and Soda Films, with hair and makeup artist Chrisato Chris Arai at the beautiful Chilterns homestead, the collection, which celebrates Lisa’s twenty years in the wedding business is filled with the designer’s signature classic styling.
With beautiful ball skirts of tulle and silk, with lace, feather and jewelled details, the gowns – in shades of blush, latte, ivory and white – pay homage to this designer’s years of experience in cut and fit. A range of considered pieces – tulle skirts, feathered capes and lace jackets – allows looks to be layered and customised for their wearer.
My favourite? “Helene” a classic A-line silhouette that features a moulded, corded lace sweetheart bodice and soft, silk georgette skirt putting all its focus on the wearer.
Lisa tells, “I was restoring and renovating a heritage house on the Upper North Shore when designing this collection and the influence of the detailed flooring, architraves and windows can be seen in the design and styling of the gowns and accessories.”
The Lisa Gowing “Heirloom” Collection is available now.
