We have seen all kinds of black tie weddings thorough The Black Tie Issue, but one thing we haven’t seen? Black tie elopements! Today’s dream team pulled together the most stunning black tie elopement editorial set on the oceanside clifftops of the Mornington Penninsula.
“Being in the wedding industry, we have seen so many weddings over the years, and there is always one consistent factor: two people in love, who want to commit to each other for a lifetime in marriage” remarks photographer Ashleigh of Ashleigh Haase Photography, who captured the beautiful shoot. “Marriage is so special, and we truly believe you don’t have to fall to the pressures of family and friends and the idealism of what a wedding should be.”
Ashleigh, worked alongside the team of makeup artist Michelle O’Conell and models Travis Bishop and Josephine (who dressed in a chic black tuxedo from Bell and Barnett and elegant long sleeve Wendy Makin gown respectively) set about creating an editorial that was inspired by a couple who want nothing more than to run away and get married – alone, with a sense of elegant, black tie style the most beautiful juxtaposition to the grassy hills, the vast, endless ocean and of course, magic sun.
Our bride and groom prepare for their day together, him in an elegant tuxedo, her in a dreamy long sleeve gown with sparkling beading, before they wander along the rolling hills, overlooking the sea to say their vows together, in solitude, with their words the focal point of it all.
Ashleigh remarking “It’s about you, and the love of your life. Best friends coming together and committing to each other for eternity. Just two people, entering into a lifetime of love.”
