Happy Monday Dotties! It is getting so close to Christmas celebrations that we almost can’t stand it. Suddenly our lives are filled with sparkly lights and “just because it’s Christmas” cocktails and all kinds of merriment, what could be more wonderful?
If you’re planning your wedding for next spring how are you bringing the season to your wedding? There’s something quite lovely about making the most of spring bulbs in your bouquet, spring drinks to toast your wedding ceremony on a terrace and a hot drink with toasted marshmallows at the end of the night – because let’s face it, the nights are still cool. To help you with ideas, we suggest you take a look at Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for vendors who are keen to help you plan your spring vision for your wedding day. We have Entertainment, we have Cinematography, we have Bridal Gowns and Food Trucks – we even have Stationery & Paper Goods and Menswear! We all love to celebrate spring – and our vendors are no exception!

The advantage of using a wedding planner is that they bring together all the little details and make sure that everything looks beautiful and is just as you imagined it. Vanessa of Valure Events does just that, as well as coordinating your wedding vendors, styling and all the running around with month before, full service or on the day management. Leaving everything to Vanessa, knowing that she will look after all the little details, you can relax and enjoy your wedding. Because who wants to be worried about anything other than laughing and loving your day!
We asked Vanessa of Valure Events five questions in five minutes:
What is your reward after a big working day?
Fave reward after a big working day is a great glass of Pinot Noir, fluffy bed socks and PJs!
Favourite weekend getaway?
Daylesford; as we never get sick of amazing scenery, yummy food and wine and it’s only 90 minutes from Melbourne!
What is your most prized possession?
My most prized possession is our two amazing yet crazy boys and family! Nothing is more important x
Favourite restaurant?
Can’t possibly narrow it down – far too many that I love!
What do you most enjoy about being in the wedding industry?
What I love about being in the wedding industry is the love. As demanding and as tiring as it can be, nothing gives me a greater satisfaction than working with amazing vendors and beautiful clients who are so in love. Being a part of their special day makes it an absolute privilege, I’m truly blessed.
