A relaxed wedding is always a popular choice and there is a certain beauty in the moments of Jolene and Joseph’s relaxed New Zealand Riverside wedding captured by Meredith Lord. From the groom’s surprise that was a year in the making to the beautiful traditional dancing, the heartfelt ceremony – every part of the day, into which the couple had poured their heart and soul, shone in the brightest way.

Joseph wore a blue suit from 3 Wise Men that was perfect for their relaxed outdoor wedding location. He reflects on his experience shopping for the suit: “The experience was a bit different for me as I didn’t have the help of anyone except for Jolene. She came along with me to try on a few suits. I always wanted to wear a blue suit. Not navy blue but a brighter blue that would pop. I looked around a few stores in Wellington and in the end I found the one I was after at 3 Wise Men. They were great there and I ended up buying my white shirt with a silver tie, and also some brown leather shoes there too.

I chose blue because I wanted a different colour to my groomsmen (who were all in grey, white, and light brown) and obviously wanted to stand out. I was a bit worried about the hot weather in the Hawke’s Bay and thought a suit would be too hot to wear, however we had a gentle breeze on the day and the merino suit kept me cool.”
