Sometimes you can just tell how much some wedding vendors love their jobs and this week I met someone who sure loves his – Jason Kates of Love 2 Love Wedding and Event Planner. Jason started Love 2 Love three years ago after planning his own wedding and learning just how important it was to be on the same page as your wedding vendors. “I strongly believe in choosing the right vendors that will give the couple the attention and respect they deserve” says Jason. “It’s about finding the right fit for each and every couple.” Jason found finding the right people for his own wedding frustrating and saw a gap in the market to help busy couples find great and passionate people to create their special day. With such a selection of amazing vendors on his books, it’s no wonder his wedding was so beautiful!

Love 2 Love specializes in wedding planning but they can also help plan birthdays, engagements, christenings and other special occasions. Jason and his team believe that having a positive and productive working relationship with couples is of the utmost importance when planning a wedding. Love 2 Love offer three different styles of package to suit a variety of different wedding needs including on the day coordination, wedding styling, consulting and complete planning from start to finish.

The office is located in Waterloo, an inner city suburb of Sydney. Jason lives near by and tells me he loves the area. A fantastic mix of workshops, design spaces and great cafes grace the area and Jason says it’s the perfect spot to meet clients. Jason is very flexible about meeting couples at a time that suits them the most, whether it’s after work or in a location that is convenient to them such as their home or the chosen wedding venue. “It’s very important to me that I understand the personality of the couple,” says Jason. “I want to create a day that’s all about them and that starts from keeping the planning process stress free.”

While the office is more of a workspace than a showroom, you can see some of Jason’s amazing work on his website and at the chic bridal fairs he often exhibits at. “I love exhibiting at some of the more alternative and modern bridal fairs,” says Jason. “It’s fantastic to really chat to couples and give them an idea of how I work.” Love 2 Love were recently awarded favourite stall at the One Fine Day bridal fair, so you know Love 2 Love’s stand must have been a very popular spot to visit!

I ask Jason what he loves most about his job and he tells me it’s seeing the couples’ faces light up when they see their wedding and when guests remark that it’s “so them”. “My favourite thing is coming up with ideas that fit the couple,” says Jason. As always I ask if there’s anything new coming up that he’s excited about and he tells me he is really looking forward to the day gay marriage becomes legal. I hope when that day comes Jason can renew his vows, I’d love to see another stunning wedding!
