Wedding Dress Emergency 101! Tears, stains, broke Wedding Dress Emergency 101! Tears, stains, broken bustles – oh my! But don’t stress; we’ve got you covered: ✔️ Identify your fabric (silk stains differently than polyester!) ✔️ Carry baby powder, wipes, and a mini sewing kit. ✔️ Safety pins = the real MVPs. Because the only thing you should worry about is saying, “I do!” Find more tips at the link in our bio. Be sure you know the fibre of your wedding dress or outfit! Satin, crepe, chiffon, velvet, and all those other fabric names are just a way to describe how the fibre is woven. For example, silks and rayons, particularly silk and rayon velvets, are water-sensitive, and you can easily turn stains into permanent water spots." Artificial fibres such as polyester, you can use baby wipes or stain sticks to lift the stain. A mini sewing kit Is useful, of course, but safety pins are faster, and sometimes pinning a stain into a fold can hide stains better than a needle and thread. Pin some extra safety pins near the hem inside your gown where you can easily find them.
