Mia and Dennis
Our stars aligned one night at the Long Room Bar in Melbourne. It was a girls’ night out and I was the designated driver. I first met Dennis at the table lounge area where he offered me some food – I couldn’t say no to food (haha). It wasn’t love at first sight, but it turned out to be one of the biggest loves I have ever found. We spoke, there was no flirting, and became best friends!
Fast track one and a half years later to September in Europe where we were travelling with my best friend who was living in London at the time and three other very close friends from Melbourne. As we were strolling along the golden bridge at Pont Alexander III in Paris, we all turned around to take a group selfie with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
As the camera clicked, my best friend pulled out banner showing ‘Mia, will you marry me’? I turned to Dennis and he was then on his knees with the ring and proposed. It was the most emotional day of my life. I was so happy I could not hold back my happy tears all night! We were so blessed and grateful to have our closest friends there to be part of the proposal that was executed so perfectly in a city of love that I hold so closely to my heart. A dream comes true.
Dennis and I are both self-proclaimed highly efficient and organized people. We had our suppliers and venue booked within the first month of being engaged. Wedding planning was a breeze and stress-free. We wanted the day to be enjoyable for the bridal party, friends and family so we had no DIY duties and outsourced everything with the help of Amelia from Make Your Day. From room service, styling and reception, we had A grade vendors take care of everything. Our guests enjoyed a bay side party at Sandringham Yacht Club with great food, dancing and unlimited gelato!
There is nothing we would change about our wedding day, it was a perfect day and we spent the whole day laughing.
Ms Chinoiserie Says: Congratulations Mia and Dennis; such a beautiful celebration beside the water!
