Kellsey & Joel
With a black tie dress code, a stunning marquee, a decadent wedding gown and a country setting – this glam country wedding ticks all the boxes for something truly special. The memories of rain, of dancing and of a beautiful ceremony captured by gm photographics are of course what makes it so truly perfect.
On how they met, Kellsey tells, “We met when Joel moved from Sydney to Wellington to buy a business. We also used to see each other at the local gym.”
Kellsey worked with Steven Khalil to create her dream gown. “The dress was custom made by Steven Khalil. Looking to compliment my curves we chose a figure hugging shape, complete with delicate french beaded lace.”
Kellsey walked down the aisle to John Legend’s “All of Me” remembering, “I loved seeing Joel’s face when I walked in, bringing our family and friends together, seeing my father and brother so emotional, spending the time with my mother planning, Joel’s vows he wrote, I’ll cherish.”
Kellsey and Joel chose Putta Bucca House for their wedding, the bride remarking, “Putta Bucca House has amazing manicured gardens, with hedges, grand arches and secret spots to share special moments.”
Andrew Ryan officiated the ceremony, Kellsey telling, “It was an extremely emotional ceremony, complete with a reading from my parent’s wedding (read by my godfather), personalised vows, and a candle lighting ceremony to remember my beloved grandfather.”
“We wanted to write our own vows, so we can reflect on the thought and emotions in years to come.”
Of their photographer, the bride notes, “gm photographics were AMAZING – not only photographers but helpers, coordinators, directors, supporters and by the end of the day friends!”
Kellsey describes the day as “Country classic with a touch of glamour. The day was shared with friends and family, full of laughter and love not to mention a spot of rain.”
“The day’s plans went astray due to some big gusts of wind and rain straight after the ceremony, but the guests have all commented about rain and how beautiful it was in the clear marquee – always a silver lining!”
Of the first dance, the bride remembers, “We chose John Legend and Megan Trainor’s “Like I’m going to lose you’. Despite taking lessons the dress train was too long for our move, a nice slow dance followed.”
Adam Katz & Co provided all the ambience for the day with their live music. “Adam Katz entertainment team were wonderful, easy to work with, energetic and everything has asked me for his card!”
Kellsey and Joel chose Soda Films to capture their day. The film so beautifully weaves the couple’s love story throughout their wedding
Congratulations on your marriage Kellsey and Joel! Thank you for sharing the stories of your day with us! Thank you also to gm photographics for sharing today’s celebration!
