Jeanette, Andrew & Jersey
Andrew’s proposal was a complete surprise; he had booked a trip to New Zealand which he kept secret from me. He told me we were going to the coast with some friends for a few days. Next minute I was on a plane to New Zealand. He proposed over breakfast at our private mountain view accommodation. It was just magic.
I had all sorts of ideas for what I wanted for my dress but was unsure what would actually suit me. The team at Luv Bridal helped me find the perfect style of dress that complemented my body. I spotted the vintage look ivory lace of a Mia Solano dress that screamed out at me. It was the perfect amount of vintage and elegance to suit our Hunter Valley wedding.
Our ceremony at Ironbark Hill Vineyard was so special. I was so nervous. It rained all morning but the second I stepped out of the wedding car the rain stopped! As we spoke our written vows the sun came out and shone through the clear glass back wall of the wedding chapel. Everyone was saying it was like the heavens opened up! It was also very special having our dog Jersey as our flower girl and writing our own vows made the ceremony very personal.
With our photographer, Cavanagh Photography, we had our photos taken amongst the vines after our ceremony; they are so beautiful!
The reception, which we also had at the winery, was a lot of fun. The room setting was beautiful and felt like an enchanted forest with vines, florals and candles everywhere.
The speeches were both hilarious and touching, there was lots of tears and laughter. My husband crying during his speech was definitely a highlight and set people off. We had fun with our wedding dance, throwing a few goofy moves in there. We had a sparkler send off which was a very special way of signifying the end of an amazing day.
Ms Chinoiserie Say: Such beautiful flowers! Congratulations Jeanette, Andrew – and Jersey – on a truly gorgeous wedding day!
So great to re-live this celebration with these wonderful photos! Cavanagh Photography strikes again! Great to work with the likes Peonies in a space like Ironbark Hill too. We get so spoilt being a wedding DJ sometimes – what a spectacular work environment!
Thanks for the lovely feature!! It was an awesome day to be a part of 🙂
