There is nothing quite like the magic of the Riviera and today’s shoot looks almost out of France or Italy, but instead it is utterly Australian and pays homage to our very own Murray River.
Photographer Georgie James of Vignette Photographic notes, “We didn’t want a traditional looking wedding as we love that weddings can be whatever you want them to be. We wanted to take the classic style of the Riviera and use the twinkling sun soaked waters of the river to create a shoot rich with light and the earthy tones of the river and the sky and classic styling.” Georgie teamed up with stylists and rental furniture company Hens Teeth Trading to showcase the best local talent. Wedding professionals from Yarrawonga – the grand boat PS Cumberoona, floral designer Floral Harvest, hair and makeup artist Bellapelle, clothing boutique Mint Boutique Tocumwal, stylist Hens Teeth Trading and caterer and food stylist Simone Ford Jenkins, Rutherglen photographer Vignette Photographic and Corowa men’s clothing bouqtiue Origin Clothing, all pitched in for a shoot with a beautiful local flavour. The shoot took on a light and breezy feel, the team showing off their talents in a beautiful setting onboard the PS Cumberoona. A cruise down the river the perfect way to celebrate a wedding in the Summer months.
The shoot took place on board the PS Cumberoona, Georgie explaining, “We loved the idea of doing something on the newly restored Cumberoona because well firstly we just love to work together and secondly because it is a very unique venue to the area and it really does celebrate the Murray River which feeds our region, and us all really, so we wanted it to feed our inspiration as well!”
“Our divine models are Maika and Anthony. We put a call out for ‘real live lovers’ and they put in their interest. This couple were divine to work with and gave some of our scenes the romantic spark of a wedding day that we wanted to portray in our shoot.”
