Michelle & Mathew
The beauty in these romantic clifftop engagement photos is enough to take one’s breath away. There is something amazing about the wind and sea torn cliffs tops and when you add a love story to the mix, it fast becomes a story I can’t wait to share with you. Today’s engagement photos were captured by Amelia at Pictures and Hearts.
Amelia tells, “I envisioned a gorgeous shoot at the top of a cliff in Blue Mountains. I was devastated when I saw that it was going to rain and storm for the whole week. Naoko our other principal photographer was going to come and create her magic as well but she got sick with food poisoning in the morning. I was thinking, “Who out there is trying to stop us from doing this beautiful photoshoot?!”
However, I looked at the jaw-dropping gorgeous bouquet and hair wreath that the amazing Sarah from Estu Garden created, and thought about how Kaori Harigae from Zena Hair & Makeup was going to make Michelle look like a goddess and most importantly, we have a pair of absolutely smitten lovebirds… and I thought this is more than enough to create magic, the show must go on! So Michelle and Mathew braved the wind and the chills at Maroubra Cliffs and despite the rain, they just got lost in their love for each other.”
Michelle tells, “We met at work, Mathew was training me and one day he asked me about the scratch on my leg and if I was okay. I then asked him ‘Why are you looking at my legs!?!’ Things quickly developed from there.”
On what they love about each other, Michelle tells, “We keep each other grounded and know how to make each other smile and laugh.”
Michelle tells the story of how Mathew proposed. “We were on holidays in New York after I had just finished my uni degree. On top of the Empire State building, Mathew got down on one knee and popped the big question.”
