Do you love the feeling of Parisian inspired lounges with hand picked chandeliers and velvet draping? Love the thought of having your ceremony and reception under one roof? Team this with a passion to provide great service, great food (and could we mention the strawberry daiquiris?) and the experience at Red Scooter will be second to none. Eammon and his staff are excited about what they do and want to help make your wedding day the best ever, so why not contact them and have a chat – you’ll love what they have to offer you!
Red Scooter – a great name for a venue. I’m sure it has a story – would you please tell us?
It actually came from a strange dream a friend had. She dreamt about red scooters racing around the rim of a dinner plate. We thought it was a bit kooky and would make a great name for a unique event space.
How would you describe the ambience of Red Scooter?
Red Scooter is a unique events space with a striking design and extraordinary service. We aim to create a relaxed atmosphere, encouraging guests to have fun and combine that with an energetic team dedicated to professional food & beverage service.
Are couples able to have their wedding ceremonies on site? Do you have a separate ceremony space available and is there a ‘flow’ from one area of the room to the other for ceremony to reception?
We offer a purpose built Ceremony Room where couples can host their wedding ceremony separate to their reception. We can create a smooth flow from ceremony to reception and can also customise post ceremony beverage packages to ensure the bride & groom have the ever important photo time.

Do you have a number of different reception room options to choose from?
Our largest room, the Hamilton Room can seat up to 280 guests with a dance floor. The Madisson Room is the next size down which comfortably seats 140, and the Dakota Room seats 100 guests maximum.
Do you have a wedding co-ordinator/team on staff?
We have a really great wedding co-ordinator on hand to help you with every aspect of the big day. Laura becomes like a 4th bridesmaid and helps you through all the steps leading up to the wedding and on the day.

Please describe your packages, inclusions and extra amenities that you offer?
We have worked hard on providing a truly comprehensive package for our couples. Our food & beverage packages are 4 courses including two sides with main course and strawberry daiquiris in all beverage packages (a popular drink with the guests).
The packages also include room hire and two options for table theming (ie. linen and centrepieces). Further additions include security, car park attendants, free parking for guests, in-house sound system plus our fantastic lighting system which goes a long way in creating the unique atmosphere our couples are after.
What items do the bridal couple source for themselves?
Our couples are only limited by their imaginations. They can provide any detail big or small to make their wedding what they dream of. Some couples choose to provide flowers for their centrepieces but most select from our in-house options.
Couples do supply their own wedding cake, place cards and bonbonnieres, however our wedding coordinator is always on hand to help with ideas and preferred vendors. We will also coordinate with the vendors for delivery and set-up of any additional items the couple organise.
How would you describe the style of food you serve?
Our menu can be described as modern Australian. We pride ourselves on providing restaurant quality food in a function environment.

Do you offer options other than sit down formal meals?
Aside from the formal sit down dinner, our couples can mix up their menu with a roving entrée and/or roving dessert items. One of our favourite ways to end the night is to reveal a hidden chocolate fountain and dessert bar. The guests are amazed at the array of desserts and love dipping the strawberries and marshmallows into the flowing Belgium chocolate.
We also offer cocktail style menus and can create a menu consisting of numerous food stations. By tailoring different food stations and cuisines, we can create a hawkers market style menu and offer guests tastes from around the world.
Or combine all three styles with a cocktail style entrée, seated main course and dessert stations for a truly unique food experience.
Do you have sustainability and dietary requirements in mind when planning your menus?
We are happy to tailor menus to suit the specific dietary requirements of our guests. We have designed menus for vegan weddings and also vegetarian menus.
At Red Scooter, we consider ourselves environmental crusaders. As Australia’s first carbon positive venue, we try to minimise the environmental impact of everything we do. We source our menus locally and can offer organic menus free of all pesticides.

What do you particularly enjoy about hosting weddings and events at Red Scooter? Are you a ‘born entertainer’?
Whether born into it or not, I have certainly developed a passion for hospitality and hosting events. I love that we get to be around couples and their families at one of their happiest times, it’s a special feeling being a part of that.
What do you like to do in your spare time – how do you relax?
I love being able to spend time with my kids, getting out and being active. I also love being out on the water, either cruising down the river in the boat or on the lake skiing.
