Lauren & Mark
There is something really exciting to me about young love, or young love as today’s photographer Adam Ward Photography describes it. There is so much time ahead and so much learning and growing to do – all with your person right by your side. Lauren and Mark originally met at school but started dating at university. They married in April of this year.
On what they love about one another, Lauren & Mark tell, “I don’t think we could put it down to one thing. But in the words of Billy Joel “I don’t want clever, conversation, I never want to work that hard, I just want someone, that I can talk to, I want you just the way you are”.”
Mark proposed in new York! The story told as, “We had been dating for about 6 years and were in the USA for the Christmas Holidays. Lauren’s parents were with us for a week in New York prior to Christmas. Mark asked Lauren’s parents the “Big Question” whilst the girls were shopping on Christmas Eve. After Lunch we met up at Central Park for the token horse and carriage ride. Mark proposed at the Bethesda Terrace Fountain with a Micky Mouse ring purchased from Disneyland a couple of weeks prior. Lauren said Yes and then Mark said “don’t worry Tiffany’s is just around the corner”.”
Of having photos on the beach, Lauren and Mark tell, “Even though we lived and grew up on the Gold Coast a beach wedding wasn’t really us. We wanted to incorporate the beach somewhere in the roller coaster ride that is preparing a wedding. So it just seemed right to have the engagement shoot at the Spit. We didn’t really think to hard about it just sort of happened.”
