I think there is a magic that comes with vintage jewels. The stories they hold, the romances, the love that they have seen, it’s all just a little bit special. Jeweler Brilliant Earth has created a curated vintage collection of the most beautiful of vintage pieces with celebrity stylist and fashion industry veteran Michelle McCool and the offerings have me wanting more fingers and more reasons to buy jewels.
Brilliant Earth has always been known for their ethically sourced jewels, working hard to select suppliers that adhere to only the strictest of labor and environmental standards. The company donates 5% of all profits to communities that have been harmed by the diamond industry.
While their modern jewellery selection is large (and even allows you to design your own engagement ring), their vintage collection has over 700 individual pieces. Each is one of a kind – from the art deco era rings with French cut sapphires, the Edwardian ring with a stunning deep red garnet cabochon, the sixties style with a bezel set emerald to the Victoria era rings with turquoise cabochons and diamonds. My personal favourites? Anything with a turquoise cabochon – what a bright jewel to wear on your hands! Though the Elspeth ring above (from the Retro) era, is such a piece of art in itself with it’s five gold leaves each adorned with a brilliant cut diamond.
Michelle McCool worked with Brilliant Earth to select just a few of her favourites in a curated collection. With a background in fashion, Michelle’s selections are just as beautiful today and as fashionable as they were at the time of their creations.
Brilliant Earth has a full range available online- including specifications and ships to Australia.
