Brennan and Nicole
The engagement and wedding rings were both hand designed by Chey at Wedding Rings Melbourne. We were referred to them by a friend and the customer service was just outstanding. He delivered on exactly what Nicole wanted and managed to keep within budget.
Being the groom, I didn’t have a lot to do with the organising of our wedding, this was left to the bride and both mothers. I did however get the short list of suppliers though and had some input in regards to the locations, food, photographer, videographer and favours. It was my job to cut each list down from 4 options to 1.
Pre-drinks with the boys started early, they arrived at my place at 10:00 in the morning for breakfast, beers and not to forget the Blue Label Jonnie Walker Scotch. Our photographer MeganAldridge and videographer C2Video were both scheduled to arrive at my place at 11:15.
My groomsmen, all 8 of them were a crazy bunch to work with and made the morning photography session a lot of fun.
Being such a big bridal party, we organised 2 x 12 passenger limousines which were provided by CBDLimousines. We had a black limo for the boys and a white limo for the girls. The limos took us to our ceremony destination which was located at the Melbourne University Old Quad. This is was a fantastic setting for an outdoor traditional Jewish wedding, and the weather turned out amazing for the day.
From the ceremony, we had 3 photo locations, 2 of which were located at the university and the other being down in Port Melbourne on the pier.
After a long day of posing, we heading to our reception venue which was located at Peninsula C on the docklands where canapés were served to our guests as the sun set before them. The theme of the wedding was black and white; we had alternating table decorations with flowers and large chandeliers. We had bomboniere of a bride and groom in front of every guest’s seat with different key rings for both the guys and the girls which were provided by Bomboniere Ideas.
The bridal table had a long row of write and cream roses which were provided by BandMFlorists – their flowers were also used for the bouquets and other table decorations.
We had a live band that played a range of music ranging from the 80’s, 90’s and today. 30 minutes of the latest hits were played via a CD during one of the music sets.
Our first dance was a 5 minute mix which started with a slow choreographed dance with the bride and groom, which was then followed by an upbeat rock and roll style dance. We then had a minute of all the grooms-men involved, a minute with the bridesmaids and then a minute with our whole bridal party of 16 to finish our first dance.
