Good morning Dotties! Did you have a lovely weekend? I love my weekends but I am eager and excited to get into a week of wedding inspiration with you this week! We have so much happening I can barely keep track, but keep track I will!
Monday morning tradition at Polka Dot Bride is to shine a spotlight bright on a randomly chosen member of our wedding directory, Ms Polka Dot’s Directory.
But before we get into our randomly chosen vendor of the week, be sure to head on over and take a peek at some of our fabulous members! We have fantastic Gift Registries , the most divine of wedding cake artists, Photography , Venues and so much more. We add new vendors every week and our members are always updating their portfolios with their best and freshest work. So take a moment to check it out!
Our vendor of the week this week is quite the special one – The Bridal Collective hires out one of a kind pieces for weddings. From beautiful glassware, cake stands, drink dispensers, chalk boards, serving wear to tables and photo frames!
Jess even offers a styling service allowing you to sit back and relax and she and her team bring your vision to life, right from the prop sourcing to the setup and clean up!
Jess works all over NSW including Wollongong, Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley so wherever you might be, NSW couples are covered!
We asked Jess from The Bridal Collective five questions in five minutes –
What is your favourite after five drink?
Margaritas with my fiancé, the more salt the better!
Your favourite weekend getaway?
Anywhere that has good wine and is beautiful to photograph. The Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands are perfect for me. There’s always an antique shop to explore, hearty country food and plenty of picturesque moments.
Favourite restaurant?
This is a tough one as I love my food. I would have to say, Flying Fish at the Westin in Fiji has been my number one dining experience. Eating fresh seafood with the sand beneath my toes, surrounded by canals of water was such a relaxing way to dine.
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
My ultimate indulgence is French toast with maple syrup, bacon, and mascarpone.
Your favourite wedding story?
Okay, I’m going to be a little biased and say the day I got engaged. My fiancé planned a helicopter flight to a small private atoll off Cairns where we had a champagne breakfast and snorkeled off the sand. We still joke that he had to get down on both knees because I was sitting under a sun umbrella and got sick of waiting for me to stand up. But hey, what’s a girl to do with a glass of champagne and a comfy chair calling her name.
