Melbourne designer Cathleen Jia launched her brand new collection on a warm Melbourne night at High Street Armadale Boutique, Angelique Boutique. Launching her label in 2011, Cathleen works by appointment only from her Hawthorn studio and decided to kick off her new collection debut with a glamorous evening surrounded by sparkle, sweets and beautiful blooms and invited guests to partake in the fun by dressing to a “masquerade” theme.
Unveiling the new line “Toujours” Cathleen debuted a fashion film to introduce her collection, with guests being treated to a salon-style show complete with hair and makeup by Miss Aimmey and stunning floral arrangements from Bud Flowers.
Guests enjoyed champagne and sweet treats while previewing the “Toujours” collection featuring beautifully designed gowns, handcrafted hairpieces and dreamy, soft veils. Each gown is inspired by the 1930s with vintage colours, fine laces and intricate pieces to create vintage gowns with a twist.
