We normally introduce you to a special wedding industry expert every Monday, but today’s trio gets a special post because their unique wedding fair One Fine Day is on this weekend! Packed to the brim with unique vendors doing super cool things in the wedding industry, this weekend’s fair is the trio’s second and is sure to be brimming with plenty of wedding inspiration! We asked the girls a little about themselves and their vision!
Please introduce yourselves.
Hi! We are three girls who all work in the wedding industry and share a creative studio space in Alexandria. Marissa photographer at ‘the simple things studio’ and founder of gift registry ‘from the owl’, Nadean photographer and director of ‘Photography by Nadean’ and Jess, stylist and owner of Oscar and Ruby.
What is One Fine Day all about?
One Fine Day is all about giving brides and grooms the opportunity to connect with like-minded vendors. Face to face all in the one spot. There is such a huge volume of wedding and style inspiration out there that sometimes it can get a little overwhelming! The premise behind the fair is to let couples be themselves, find their own unique style and have fun with wedding planning.
Why is One Find Day different to other wedding fairs?
We aim to make One Fine Day a more interactive experience for our couples. No sales pitches. We love how passionate and creative our vendors are, it really comes across in the efforts they go to present themselves over the two days. In keeping with our philosophy of helping to make wedding planning a fun experience, spending a day at the fair is fun too! With free food and wine (and beer and cider) tasting, live music and a new spin on the fashion parade, it’s a great day out.
What sort of ideas do you aim to give to brides that are unique and different?
We aim to let brides know that it’s ok to be yourself on your wedding day. That if they want to have fluoro pink flamingos at their ceremony that’s ok. That if they want to wear coloured heels or a short dress, that’s ok too! As long as couples stay true to who they are, their wedding will be unique, different and special just for them.
What can couples expect when they visit One Fine Day?
Couples can expect a few surprises, lot’s of colour, enthusiastic vendors who will really listen to their dreams for their big day & of course loads of inspiration to help with their planning
What is included to entice grooms along?
Aside from the brownie points grooms are sure to earn by coming along to the fair, we have a bar set up providing Pigs Fly boutique beer and cider. Retro arcade games and lounge area to chill out in, food trucks to keep them well fed and live music to entertain. What more could a guy want!?
