What made our wedding day so special was how it reflected our different personalities and how they work so well together. I am in love with all things DIY, so naturally our wedding day was full of homemade details that really incorporate our personalities perfectly. I’m addicted to cross stitch and paper crafts, and my husband is an amazing artist, so we had set about planning what designs we could feature in our special day. After a long and sometimes frustrating planning process, we came up with the idea that I would cross stitch most of the stationery and wedding signs, and my husband would sketch a few pictures of us as a focal point on our guestbook/wishing well table. Everything worked perfectly and all our little details really had our guests talking! I also handmade all the pom poms and light bulb vases on our centerpieces, and (not to toot my own horn) I thought they turned out awesome!

My bridal party was amazing, I couldn’t have done it without them! They were with me 100% in the lead up to the big day, and helped me out in those last crucial days when I really needed them the most. My mum was a superhero as well. She helped me with everything, from gathering up recycled light globes, to helping me deliver everything to our venue, to stitching me into my dress when the zipper broke an hour before the ceremony (yup, that really did happen!). Without her and my Daddy I would have been lost!

Our vendors were also amazing, everything was absolutely perfect! If I had the chance to go back I wouldn’t change a thing!

Rhee says: “I’m a 24 year old newlywed and I love married life! I’m a bit of a craft big, I love to cross stitch, make paper craft and I am a serious home baker! When it came time for my own wedding my husband and I had a ball designing and creating almost every aspect of our special day. We wanted our guests to look around and say “this is totally Rhee and Kris”. And we definitely achieved that! I love to read about other people’s weddings and see what creations they have incorporated into their special day.”
