Good morning Dotties! I am so excited about a proper working week, I have a lot to catch up on! How about you? What are your plans for the week?
First up, as is Monday morning tradition, a big spotlight on the amazing vendors who support us and you, the readers, by filing the pages of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory
Please take a moment and check out our awesome Directory members. We have fabulous Photographers, Cakes, Catering and even Wedding Planners. Each and every vendor in our Directory has a passion for what they do and that’s what I love the most. Passion does amazing things and the vendors in our Directory can take their passion and turn it into creating something unique and personal to you for your wedding day.
Our vendor of the week this week is a Perth based photography and cinematography company Stellar Visions. Stellar Visions love what they do and make sure to provide the full service to their couples- from the moment the bride takes her dress off the hanger to the last dance of the night.
We asked Hugh from Stellar Visions five questions in five minutes –
What is your favourite after five drink?
Red wine: specifically “Parliament of Owls”.
Your favourite weekend getaway?
I love Rottnest Island, and wish I could get there more often.
Favourite restaurant?
Italian restaurant in Dianella.
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Piemontese-style Cafe Latte.
Your favourite wedding story?
We filmed a wedding where anything that could go wrong, did. The jewellery was stolen; the bridesmaids had a car accident; the groomsmen’s limo broke down; very few saw the horse & carriage arrival because it was pouring with rain; the entire ceremony soldiered on through the downpour; the weather was so bad that the reception venue (a launch) threatened to stay moored, and wouldn’t collect the bridal party waiting on the other side of the Swan river; the Champagne had flecks of gold within, which the bride discovered she was allergic to. Many brides would have had a meltdown, but this bride was amazing. She was getting married to the love of her life, and that’s all that mattered to her. Although the weather gave us so many challenges, I was very proud of the team, having turned out some excellent photography and cinematography that day. When I recall that wedding, I always remember where our in-house motto originated: Pressure Makes Diamonds.
