The one thing about travelling out of your own country that’s really exciting is when you discover something new. For me, this discovery came with Korres. I had seen this brand before in Australia but not as a stand alone store. I had also seen it in Athens but this year I found that the brand had really come into it’s own and has gained a lifetime fan and advocate in me.
Developed by pharmacist George Korres in 1996, the product line has it’s roots firmly in homeopathy with the key ingredients being herbs and flora sourced from farmers all over the country. The company is devoted to strengthening the economy of local areas and supporting farmers.
The research that goes into the products is strong and the following that is developing is equally strong for all the right reasons. The products work, they are truly beautiful both in packaging and in feel and when using them you can imagine that you are using the essence of Greece in a bottle.
Stores can now be found in Athens, Paris, London, Spain, Singapore, Bulgaria, Germany and Korea to name just a few. The brand is winning awards for product development, design and business and with the current global perception of Greece, it’s proof that this little country is big in innovation and business acumen.
The range contains products for the face, body, hair, elixirs, perfumes and much more. The formulations avoid PEGs, Mineral Oils, Parabens, Silicones, Propylene Glycol, Ethanolamines and Mineral Oils and if this means nothing to you than you can find out why here. The packaging is from recycled materials and there are no animal by products in them and nothing is tested on animals. I bought shampoo, body wash, lip balm, fragrance, sunscreens, deodorant and shaving cream. There’s nothing we don’t absolutely love!
Currently, a limited range of Korres is available to ship to Australia online at Kit Cosmetics. To find out more visit the Korres Website and become a fan on their facebook page too! Who thinks we need a Korres store in Australia soon?
