Anna and Sandy
We’re kicking off a double header engagement day with two very different but very fun engagement sessions! First up is Anna and Sandy with their Dutch engagement session!
Photographer Anouschka Rokebrand sent over today’s photographs shot in the most typical of Dutch surroundings: between the windmills and cute little houses in Zaanse Schans in The Netherlands. Anouschka says “The couple are Anna and Sandy, both from Indonesia but living in The Hague in Holland. They will have a traditional Indonesian ceremony next year in Indonesia so they wanted a typical Dutch backdrop for their engagement photos to show the folks back home!
I received an e-mail from Anna about the engagement photos. She told me “I just got engaged to the best man I’ve ever known, his name is Sandy”. I knew straight away these would be awesome people to work with. I was right! They are both from Indonesia, living in The Hague. They met through a mutual friend and as soon as Sandy’s mother, who lives in Canada, had met Anna and told Sandy what a sweetheart she is, he knew his feeling about popping the big question was right. He did so there and then. Since they are having an official Indonesian wedding in Indonesia next year they really wanted typical Dutch backdrops for the engagement photos. I mentioned Zaanse Schans since they loved windmills and so last Saturday we headed to the Zaanse Schans for the session. Anna had hoped for beautiful sunshine and the weather gods were listening! Gorgeous sunshine it was! This of course also meant bus loads full of tourists which made it a bit of a challenge for photos but we made it work :-) These two are adorable! They have so much fun together and are so sweet and loving towards each other. A joy to photograph!”
