I’m a big fan of event planners- especially when holding an event as big as a wedding (so much to do, so many finite details that have to go smoothly!) So I love this week’s vendor of the week- Sydney based event planners Events By Heidi & Kate . Heidi & Kate are not only great friends, but they have over 17 years combined experience in planning events (and Kate even has a university qualification in events management to back them up!). The girls have a wide range of planning packages, from helping out at the end of your planning and tying up loose ends, to research packages and event wedding day management.

The girl’s talents aren’t limited to weddings- they also manage corporate events, cocktail parties, galas, launches and any event your heart desires!

What is your favourite after five drink?

Kate is very partial to a margarita and Heidi loves a simple gin and tonic!

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Heidi loves long drives along the coast or inland to Kangaroo Valley, whilst Kate is keen to be beachside.

Favourite restaurant?

Kate can’t go past Aria or Tetsuyas. Heidi is a passionate foodie and can’t possibly decide on one place! Favourites include Lotus in Potts Point for pre-dinner cocktails, EnoPizzeria in Neutral Bay for well, as the name says, yummy wood fired pizza, China Doll for great san choy bau, Public Dining room for harbour views, Sail’s in Noosa for lunch and Malabar for tasty Indian. We could go on…

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

It’s unanimous – we both adore corn fritters!

Your favourite wedding story?

We love that a number of our clients have also become our friends! With offers of places to stay in New York and recommendations to their friends we’ve met some wonderful brides! What a great job we have!
