Kristen Ashton and Kylie Keene of Paper Fox Studio teamed up with Joanne Walsh of Posy Florist for this morning’s beach wedding inspiration shoot. I love the rich citrus tones – a contrast to the often softer colours we see at beach weddings.
Kirsten of Paper Fox Studio told me, “I’ve always wanted to shoot a beach wedding, but as yet, haven’t had a client who was having one. Laurie and Myles had their dream wedding two years ago, a beautiful golf course set up and everything they ever dreamed of. They recently welcomed baby Ruby into the world and when I was photographing her, Laurie and I got to talking about what would be her ideal shoot and she mentioned she loved her own wedding, but always fancied a beach wedding as well.
Perfect! We got together with the fabulous Jo from Posy Florist, set the “date” and made it happen.
The details were all put together to create a whimsical and fun feel to the afternoon, with a mini sweet station building on the pinks and oranges of the bouquet. It featured big glass jars of layered of jelly beans, smaller jars of rainbow-coloured boiled sweets, fluffy marshmallows and an oversized lollypop. To round it off I added a little chalkboard, which we also used in the shoot itself to write some fun messages.”
Oranges, pinks and yellows mixed with white would make such a lovely palette for a beach wedding – think of brightly coloured rugs laid on the sand, flame torches lit up on the sky, tables decorated in the fresh, fiesta colours.
What a lucky couple. The flowers look great and the couple looks like they are still on their honeymoon!
The flower is so beautiful.
Love the fluffy blooms! That bouquet is gorg!
