Wintery woolies, navy and white stripes, pops of apricots and deep pinks in amazing illustrative letterpress stationery, florals of grassy greens and whites, photo booths, fairy lights and paper pom poms and hand made personalised printed handkerchiefs for guests with mulled wine, live jazz all night long. the world inspiring me… happy to change and embark on embracing Winter x
Our wedding is being inspired by my South American heritage which I am seeing in brightly coloured blooms, brass bands, ruffled ‘flamenco’ style dresses, personalised cocktails in pretty colours, funky stationary,’papel picado’ banners, bunting, foodie favours and mult-toned shoes under ivory dresses. Most importantly our biggest inspiration is the beautiful photographs that capture those moments where the bride and groom look as if its the happiest day of their lives! That is what we’re aimimg for. Thanks Polka Dot Bride!xx
A friend introduced me to the danish word ‘hyggelig’. In essence it means cozy – it has no direct english translation, but it evokes a feeling of being welcome and enticed. This word inspires me completely, though I have no danish connection, I love it!
To me it’s friendship and love; and quality time spent together not just a quantity of time together! My interpretation of this is a winters evening with a warm glow of candles and hurricane lamps in all the windows and throughout the venue; it’s a big open fireplace, and lush green foliage bringing a touch of nature inside; it’s a hearty meal shared together, and plenty of good wine to go around. This word has become the keystone for planning our wedding together.
Our wedding is inspired by the Australian Bush. Earthy tones and splashes of red. We love to go camping each year to remote places and that’s what is inspiring us. The trees, the tranquility, the stars. A rustic working farm in the hills brings us our vision.
Nature. Family. Friends. Laughter. Love. That’s all we need.
Hi girls!
