Cassie & James
I have the most serene engagement session to kick off the year with for you. It’s apt really considering how much we’re all in turmoil at this time of year and the week we have had in Australia.
Today’s shoot comes from Leah Kua and our newly engaged are Cassie & James.
Leah told me the story of the shoot. “The couple actually took me to the place where the groom to be (James) proposed. It was his birthday the day he proposed and the bride to be (Cassie) had planned a beautiful day for him, but nothing in the afternoon, so he suggested that they visit one of their favourite spots – Northhead in Sydney (totally spectacular place). Because it was his birthday she was happy to go along with whatever he wanted, but what she didn’t know is that he had actually been up bright and early and had conspired with a friend to set up a gorgeous picnic for her in a secluded part of Northhead, overlooking the ocean and the Sydney skyline. When they got there Cassie wanted to go to the main lookout, but James encouraged her to try something a little off the beaten path (including a fence jump). After finally persuading her to jump the fence he let her walk around the rock first to see what had been set up and when she looked back he was down on one knee. They stayed until the sun set that night so it was so incredibly special to have them back in that same spot for their engagement shoot, especially seeing as they had not been back since that day, in the hustle and bustle of planning a wedding.”
