even if it is “our” day—what is our special day without the special people in our lives??It just wouldnt be special without ’em!!!
have a great day!!!
For our wedding the main theme is going to surround 4 letters- L-O-V-E … cause at the end of the day that’s what life is all about right and we want to celebrate on all different levels with our family and friends!
🙂
PS> Love the stationery- looks stunning!
what’s inspiring me?? Easy – Polka Dot Bride and some of the other amazing wedding blogs out there! Thanks x
My Inspiration is 1930-1940s with a moden twist… we what something that is fun and vintage yet still very US…
That’s easy. My future husband. We are planning a day filled with fun, laughter, friends and family.
The Aussie Bush.
We are getting married in the gorgeous Kangaroo Valley and we would like to work with the natural beauty of the stunning setting by trying to be as eco-friendly as possible and being conscious about the footprint we are making. We are taking inspriation from the local native flora and fauna by working with nature’s natural color scheme of Spring.
Standing at the lookout at Kangaroo Valley, absorbing the natural beauty…how can we not be inspired… Cx
What is inspiring us in planning our wedding are meaningful is being surrounded by our family and friends and having lots of fun. We have so many talented people in our lives (musicians, designers, chefs, even a marriage celebrant!) and want to include as many people as possible to make sure it is a unique and fun filled day! Our ceremony will be held in the same park where my parents were married and our cocktail style reception at the Royal Showgrounds. To go with our “fun” theme we are have Polaroid cameras with props, fireworks, and show bags made up as the bonbonnieres! At the end of the day it’s all about showing off our love and commitment to each other, having a big party, eating gorgeous food and drinking fabulous wine.
Our inspiration only just hit recently while describing our reception to a friend. Seems obvious now, but what would an afternoon tea reception be without being a little Mad Hatter-ish!? Autumn, vintage styling … can not wait!
xx 🙂
my inspiration came from 2 movies, Mamma Mia & The Good Year. I love everything rustic and vintage, with an edge of natural and simplicity trimmed with lace and prettiness. An outdoors wedding with collected jam jars with candles in hanging from branches and lots of wooden chairs. The jam jars are coming from so many people, so they will be recycled and a little be of everyone’s spirit will be captured on our special day too. Fairy lights and sparklers and a wigwam for the kids I am thinking. It is a DIY wedding so any saving is great so I can help get my family from the UK to come to our aussie wedding. Fabulous stationery, my fingers are crossed 😉
Well my insperation came from the 1920’s. I want my wedding to have that feel with a French provincial look I want people to feel like they are in the Chocolat movie…( If only Johnny Depp could join us. My style insperation came from Marion Cotillard.
My inspiration is the colour yellow… Yellow for me means hope, joy and freshness! This has helped us with our wedding plans and we are having a casual small wedding/party that will be light and airy and most of all FUN for all!!
Our dream wedding is inspired by beauty and elegance. The sketch of my wedding dress, the soft silk samples, the sparkle of my engagement ring, the sweet smell of flowers, the breathtaking scenery at the winery we will be married and the smiles on our family and friends faces as we share every moment with them. All these things make planning our wedding the sweetest experience of our life together thus far.
Our wedding is all about the important things in life…love, family and great times. I cant wait xo
What’s inspiring us is everything French! The easy refined style, the exquisite food and wine, and the lifestyle – these guys know how to enjoy life and that is what we want for our wedding day!
We have been together for 10 years already, so our inspiration is celebrating our history and our future all at once, with the people that have shaped us and touched our lives so far…can’t wait!
My lifestyle with my fiance! We live by the beach and love to walk around our neighbourhood, eating locally and relaxing in the sunshine – so we want to share this with our guests! Our wedding is going to be at a beautiful spot on the sea that happens to be just over the road from our house, and I love how calm and also fun I hope the whole thing will be because we’re having it all right where we spend most of our time.
Becoming Husband & Wife – We both cannot wait to celebrate with our family and friends however we both cannot wait to celebrate with each other
Rustic/Vintage Theme – after a day spent trawling op shops with my Mum looking at the gorgeous plates/vases about thinking about who were the past owners, Family – Both sides coming together to celebrate our marriage and have a relaxed day whilst doing so, Friends – coming along to provide support for nerves on the big day and wish you well.
What is inspiring us is our Family. Both my Fiancé and I are extremely close to our family so it is going to be very intimate and warm. We are getting married on a Monday in Port Douglas and all our family and a few close friends (they are like family also!) are all going to be there the weekend before so we can spend some relaxed, quality time with them before we get married. I can’t wait!!
Well lets see, “what is my inspiration,” I would like to think the answer to this is not one thing in particular, it is many. My inspiration is my life so far, his life so far, and our lives together. It is becoming Man and Wife. It is being able to share the last name of my man and our two beautiful boys. My inspiration is the gorgeous location of our wedding – Daydream Island. It is nature, and the beautiful world we live in. My inspiration is being able to share this special day with our closest family and friends. It is the gratitude I show to all of those wonderful people who have helped us get too this point in our lives. My inspiration is not one thing, it is many. Thankyou
Raspberry Velvet is the inspiration for our wedding day. Featured in our cake, dotted throughout the bouquets and highlighted across the garden ceremony parasols. The colour sets the quirky tone for the kind of day we hope everyone enjoys. Thank you x
My inspiration is centred on giving back a little something to all the people who are going to make not only our day special but to thank them for the future roles in our lives as husband and wife. I have really realised since being engaged that it is not only our day, it is a celebration for all those who we will need to support us in our marriage in the future. We want to let our friends know how important they are to us as a couple. So the giving back will be in great food, great wine and great entertainment, and lots of candid photos with everyone and a home made personalised bonbonnieres and less formality so we actually get to speak with everyone on the night!
Our inspiration is the gorgeous natural environment and cruisy lifestyle of Margaret River! With our ceremony in the amazing Karri forest and the reception overlooking the beach, it’s going to be beautiful. I grew up there and we’re putting the focus on hanging out with family and friends, laughing, eating delicious local food and wine… to celebrate our marriage we just want feasting and merriment!
Our inspiration is from our lush surroundings, and we hope to give it a shabby chic touch, ceremony in the botanic gardens, reception in somewhere a little more modern. Relaxed, casual, a celebration of love and life with our nearest and dearest – giving thanks to everyone that has helped us along the way in the last 7 years of our relationship.
Our inspiration is in being unique. I am always looking for little details that would take the wedding away from the usual.
There are so many lovely blogs and websites that I find so inspiring! My greatest inspiration of all though, is my great grandmother’s wedding dress which she wore in the 1920’s… which my mother wore in the 1980’s… and which I hope to wear to my wedding! The dress carries so much history with it and I hope to include as much of that history into my own wedding!
A balmy night of celebration under the stars. Great company, food and wine, soft, romantic lighting and an evening we’ll never forget.
Love.
Our theme is celebrating life. It is reminding ourselves how lucky we are to have each-other,our families and our friends. It is to embrace and to appreciate our country and how amazing it is to live here. It is supporting local and Australian companies and working in harmony with nature. It is stopping, savouring the moment and realising that this is just the beginning and there will be so much more to be inspired by x
What is inspiring to me for my wedding?
Lots of things really.
All of the great blogs out there with plenty of DIY inspiration!
Spring! It’s the season in which we are getting married and brings to mind floatiness, summer breezes and light colours.
The thought of having all my friends and family from all around the world in one place again and on one dancefloor! It’s going to go off!
and last, but certainly not least, Love! The love I share with my fiancee and the love we share with our friends and family.
Our inspiration for our day is us. We’ve been together for nearly 8 and half years and this day is going to be a continuation of all the fun, good times we’ve had together. It’s going to be low key, casual and fun, it’s going to mix our two homes together: Australia and Kenya by having Australian and Kenyan accents mixed together.
My inspiration for wedding is a culmination of so much love, beauty and nature. An intimate celebration of love with close friends and family from near and far down by the beach in Melbourne.
I love seeing the inspirational ideas featured on Polka Dot Bride.
My fiance’s and my future together as husband and wife is my ultimate inspiration.
