While deep in my heart, a beautiful quiet proposal with just two people and a lot of love is my favourite kind of proposal, I do have fun watching and swooning over romantic stories and the creative ways we take that first step towards marriage. Creative engagement stories never get old to me!

Here’s some of my favourites from the past few months…

Leonie from the sweet cake business Happy Cakes sent over this sweet as can be engagement cupcake. The groom-to-be commissioned Leonie to create a masterpiece of a cupcake to give to his girlfriend on her birthday..with a diamond ring hidden on top! (She said yes by the way)

A lovely reader gave me the heads up on this one. A  gorgeous Amelie, treasure hunt style proposal for Love You Big (read it in full here). So sweet!

Everyone knows I’m a Shoes Of Prey fan, but I tell you what, I’d be like Jessica with these shoes- they’d stay on display because I couldn’t bear to wear that message off! Read Jessica’s full story on their blog.

This proposal from Cakies (her best friend) is utterly fun and so sweet. I love anything involving Polaroids and art! Read it in full here.

Is there someone out there who doesn’t love Pixar’s ‘Up’! ? Such a fantastic movie and I love the nod to it in this proposal from Dolce!

Some say time literally stops when a proposal happens..clearly this groom knew that and took the concept literally! (with we tv filming it all!)
